Abstract

A simplified replacement model for the components of the hybrid Photovoltaic/Diesel generator/Battery system is proposed in this paper. The proposed model considers the load following control strategy which it is the most typical control strategy of this system. The proposed model aims to predict the required component's replacement actions through a specific period of time. In addition to that, maintenance cost based comparison between the proposed model and other rule of thumbs is presented in this paper.
