The current study was carried out to investigate the biokinetic model of Botryococcus sp. in removing NH4 + and PO4 3- from meat processing wastewater. The removal efficiency of NH4 + ranged from 89.74% to 99.03% and from 92.39% to 99.93% for PO4 3-. The biokinetic coefficients of NH4 + were k = 1.72 mg NH4 + mg−1 chl a d−1 and Km = 52.29 mgL−1. The biokinetic coefficients of PO4 3- were as follows; k = 1.13 mg PO4 3- mg−1 chl a d−1 and Km = 44.45 mg/L. The techno-economic analysis indicated that the fixed capital estimate will cost USD 920,500 with an annual operating 7920 h/year.
